This is the 12th and final generation of the Kashi Laxmi Prosperity Puja Asana Sadhana!
A Sadhana is defined many ways, one of which is a ‘methodical discipline to attain a goal or desired knowledge’. " For 40 days, we gather to pray, move, meditate and enjoy the gift of another day of life. This is a physical and spiritual practice inspired by many faiths, built on the foundation of Kali Natha Lineage birthed by Ma Jaya at the Kashi Ashram. We practice the dance of the Kashi Laxmi Prosperity Puja Asana, celebrating the Health, Wealth, Peace, & Happiness of Life.
Why 40 Days? 40 represents the ascent from one level to the next, during a age of completion and transition. It is said that it takes 40 days for a soul to integrate after conception and 40 days for a soul to depart after death. It is also said that the Torah was received in 40 days, the Great Flood rained for 40 day, Christ walked through the desert for 40 Days and Mohammed fasted for 40 days to receive the Quran. The significance of 40 shows itself through many faiths.
